I’d love to hear more about the Team series
Something’s missing
from open play
Pickleball is an incredible sport. Part of what makes open play so fun is the variety — different partners, different styles, different games every time. But that variety also means there’s rarely a shared goal. You show up, you play, you go home. Nothing wrong with that. But something’s missing, too.
“We were all part of the same club. We were part of something bigger — and that’s what I want Dynamite players to experience.”— Ben Sample
Last year I started traveling to volleyball tournaments with my daughter’s club team. I loved watching her play — that part I expected. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d enjoy everything else. The downtime between matches. The conversations in the bleachers. Cheering for teams I’d never seen play before, feeling real joy when kids I didn’t know won their bracket — just to see the happiness on their faces. I felt it too, even though I had no connection to them. Except I did, in a way. We were all part of the same club. That’s what I want Dynamite players to experience.
Train. Compete. Belong.
Get Sharp
At least one drill session and one game session per week. A two-week boot camp before the Riviera Classic. Structured, purposeful practice focused on the specific skills that win tournaments.
Play Together
6 tournaments a year — roughly one every two months. You’ll be paired with a doubles partner from your level group for each event. Partners can rotate tournament to tournament, giving you the chance to build chemistry with different players. 4 tournaments included; additional events available if you want to play more.
Be A Team
Your level group is your team — the people you train with, travel with, and cheer for. At tournaments, the whole Dynamite crew shows up together, supporting every match across every level. You’re not just a player. You’re part of the team.
There’s a team
for your level
Each team has its own captain to coordinate practices and logistics. You’ll train and compete with players at your level — and grow together.

Ready to be part of something bigger?
Express your interest by Monday, May 4th — no commitment yet, just let us know you’re in. We’ll take it from there.
Good questions.
Here are answers
Do I need a partner to join?
You don’t need one. Each level group trains together as a team, and for tournament play you’ll partner with one player from your team for each event. Partners can rotate from tournament to tournament — so you may play alongside different teammates across the season. If you already have a partner you’d like to play with, that works too — you and your partner can own that pairing yourselves.
What if I’ve never played a tournament before?
This program is honestly made for you. The boot camp is designed to get you comfortable with tournament format before you ever walk onto a match court. You’ll know your teammates, you’ll have practiced together, and you’ll have people cheering for you on the sideline.
I’m already registered for the Riviera Classic. Can I still join?
Absolutely — jump in now. We’ll connect you with teammates right away so you can start training together before the event. The more time you have together on the court before May 15th, the better.
Am I committing to anything by expressing interest?
Not yet. This is just step one — we want to know who’s excited. After we hear from you, we’ll follow up with details and next steps. No credit card, no commitment until you’re ready.
What level do I need to be?
We have teams at 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. If you’re not sure of your level, tell us in the survey and we’ll help figure it out together. No one gets left behind because of their skill level.
What happens after I submit?
We’ll be in touch with next steps by Tuesday, May 5th — including team placements and boot camp details. First session is Wednesday, May 6th at 4:30 PM at Earl Warren Showgrounds.
